LibreLookAI
Last updated: June 2026
This privacy policy explains how the LibreLookAI Android app (“the app”, “we”, “us”) accesses, collects, uses, stores, and shares information. It applies to the app distributed on Google Play under the package name com.librelookai. The separate website privacy policy covers visits to librelook.ai. By using the app you agree to the practices described here.
The controller responsible for processing within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Soeren Sonnenburg (see the Legal Notice for the full postal address). You can reach us at contact@librelook.ai for any privacy question or data request.
LibreLookAI is built so that your wardrobe content lives in your own Google Drive, not on our servers. We do not run a backend that stores your clothing photos, try-on images, or outfit data. AI features are powered by Google’s Gemini API using your own API key (“bring your own key”) — requests go directly from your device to Google. We collect a limited amount of account, usage, and diagnostic data to operate, secure, and improve the app, as detailed below.
When you sign in with Google and grant Drive access, the app creates a folder in your Google Drive and stores the following there, under your control:
This content is held in your Google Drive account and governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and your Drive settings. We do not keep a copy of it. The app uses the restricted drive.file scope, meaning it can only see files it created in your Drive — not the rest of your Drive. You can delete this data at any time by deleting the app’s folder in Google Drive or revoking access at your Google Account permissions.
To sign you in and link your wardrobe to your account, we use Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication. This processes your Google account identifier and email address. We use it solely for authentication and to associate your Drive folder with you.
Photos you capture with the camera or pick from your device are used to build your digital wardrobe and to generate try-on images. To provide AI features (tagging, background removal, outfit suggestions, virtual try-on), the relevant images and text are sent to the Google Gemini API for processing and the result is returned to the app. Images are sent for processing on demand and are not used by us to build advertising profiles.
AI features call Google’s Gemini API directly from your device using your own Gemini API key (bring your own key). We do not relay or store these requests on our servers, and your use is also governed by your own agreement with Google. Data sent to Gemini is handled under Google’s Gemini API terms and privacy policy.
If you grant the optional approximate (coarse) location permission, the app uses your approximate location to fetch local weather for weather-aware outfit and packing suggestions. The coordinates are sent to the weather provider Open-Meteo to retrieve a forecast. We do not store your location on our servers, and the feature is fully optional — the app works without it.
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve it. This collects app-interaction events (e.g. screens viewed, features used, onboarding progress), along with standard app and device information (such as app version, device model, operating-system version, and Firebase-generated identifiers). It is associated with your account identifier so we can measure core flows. It is not used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not sell it.
We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with the service providers needed to run the features above, acting as processors or independent controllers under their own terms:
We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
You can request deletion of your data at any time at contact@librelook.ai.
Connections to Google Drive, the Gemini API, and the Firebase services use encrypted HTTPS/TLS. Your Gemini API key and credentials are stored on your device. The Google services we rely on follow Google Cloud / Firebase security controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
LibreLookAI is not directed to children. The app is intended for users aged 13 and over (and, where a higher age of digital consent applies, that age). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us at contact@librelook.ai and we will delete it.
The Google services above may process data on servers outside your country, including the United States. These transfers rely on the providers’ safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses / adequacy mechanisms) as described in their respective privacy policies.
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. To exercise them, contact contact@librelook.ai. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection supervisory authority.
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the app or legal requirements. The current version, with the date shown above, always applies. Material changes will be reflected here.
